Professor Washboard, from Arkansas, USA, has been called one of the worlds best Roots Drummers. Certainly one of the most interesting. He plays a self invented percussion instrument. It's an old time washboard with cowbells and woodblocks used for Blues and Zydeco but it has effects built into it that make it sound like a giant drum set. In his lifetime of playing Roots Rock and Blues in Arkansas, Texas, New Orleans and Europe he has developed a very unique and authentic sound. It's the real thing. Professor Washboards bands have played every kind of gig from bars to Blues and Rock Festivals, including ones that had Van Morrison, Eric Burdon and Motörhead. After many appearances, Professor Washboard and Rocking Bluesman Martin Friedenstab have become favorites at Europes biggest motorcycle gathering, the European Bike Week in Austria and were recently invited to Harley Days Russia in St. Petersburg. The motto is "Rockin Blues to make you feel good!"
Martin Friedenstab, the guitar player and singer from Hamburg has his musical roots in the earthy blues, sometimes with trips to uptempo Rock'n'Roll and Boogie with many unexpected suprises in the sleeves. His guitar playing style is innovative and groovy with hot solos. He presents a pressureful mixture of his own and cover songs with guitar, harp, voice and footstomp.
Keith Sterling Brewer Band – Keith Sterling Brewer, Songwriter from the USA, came to Germany a few years back. With his band experience from Seattle and Florida it was just a matter of time before he would put a band together in Germany. In May 2011 for the "Keith Sterling Brewer Band" the time was right. Keith plays his own compositions, but is never shy about playing classics such as Johnny Cash, ZZ-Top, Nirvana oder Oasis, which he honed from his Pub playing days.
The band repertoire consists of a variety of musical styles, mostly in English but a few with German lyrics thrown in as well. The songs are influenced by Country, 70's Rock, Blues und Alternative Rock. Song lyrics cover normal day to day things such as the high and lows of love or coming of age. In addition he has a few songs describing his experience with immigrating to Germany.
