Music, featuring Simple Minds
Rock legends head for Port Grimaud
Some of the biggest names in rock have headlined the Harley-Davidson Euro Festival and the 2018 event will continue that tradition by showcasing another legendary band.
Following on from The Stranglers in 2015, Europe in 2016 and The Pretenders last year, this year’s headliners will be Simple Minds, appearing on June 9.
Fans can expect new music from Walk Between Worlds, which was released on February 2, the band’s first album since 2014, as well as classics – think Belfast Child, Don’t You (Forget About Me) or Alive and Kicking – from a back catalogue spanning four decades.
The Scottish band’s frontman Jim Kerr believes seeing Simple Minds perform their latest work promises to be an unforgettable experience, with each of the new songs set to become events in their own right when played live.
Simple Minds are delighted to be appearing at the Harley-Davidson Euro Festival and Jim had a special message for HOG® readers: “We look forward to seeing you there. When we started Simple Minds, our objective was to be considered as one of the great live bands – a band that had the desire to go all around the world, playing everywhere and anywhere. That challenge is ongoing, getting up close to so many who have supported us over the last four decades.”
